Black Coffee is staple for most drinkers
2 of the most common espresso-based drinks you can find are Café Americano and the Long Black. Sounds like a handful? Not really actually. Really simple to brew.
The only difference really is when you add the hot water.

Its the same
Nicely done, there's also Cafe Crema. Where all the water us run through the brew group. Use a medium fine grind and pull six to eight ounces of coffee.
The shit taste the same! Way to complicate shit coffee snobs
Long black actually uses less water than americano, about 1/3 — half less. So it's a bit stronger.
To be honest this is fuck up.
Great Vid. Exactly what i was looking for. Thanks!
Every time you add hot water to a cup of espresso an italian barista die
Where is sugar and milk… And naked girl in morning… And rain in out … And drops on window… And chill hip hop sound… And sound of the streets of NY…
There's no difference between them.. i wonder why they are two names given. Taste wise? Americano ftw
It's like the Twix factories.
just the way you make…same taste I guess
thanks for the movie
Thats like giving a cheeseburger a new name for putting the cheese on the other side of the beef
Don't need to add hot water, just run an extra long espresso instead.
is it just me or is this fucking stupid
the long black is made with "doble espresso" on the hot water and the Americano is only with an espresso with water added after, good video.
OH MY GOD, Just say you add the hotwater second with the Americano and save everyone 2 Min.
Americano is the exact same as a long black. This video is wrong
Thank you for this video, it's very well done : )
taste-wise, I could not tell the difference.
aesthetically, the long black is more appealing as crema is kept intact. plus the swirl of the espresso entering the hot water does make me feel happy.
some purist might argue on their merits. but I'm sold on the long black when it comes to espresso-based black coffee..
so does it taste different? probably not.
