Espresso Mar 31, 2020

**Music in background required I remove the audio ***
This is a very tiny little espresso cup, 7.5oz of clay. To be honest it’s larger than I thought it would be and took me a little longer to throw 😉 It was real enjoyable build the handle on this one! Hope you enjoy & Thanks for watchin’! ~ Tammy Jo

***I’m a novice potter who ventured out on January 1, 2011 to throw a cup for 365 Days (or 365 Cups), to improve and grow as a potter. I got my basic throwing knowledge by watching Youtube & DVD’s and hope that people will help me along the way!

I enjoy pottery making/ceramics and appreciate all constructive instruction. If you see me doing something that could be done easier or better please feel free to share your knowledge…I’m always open***:

    thank you nice video,, serious question for you or anyone; what would happen if you fired your cup in a 350 degree oven instead of a professonal kiln… or anything else to cheaply use thank you

    Thank you so much Ken! Watching this video brought back so many memories of making this cup! After making them it was interesting to go through and try them out and see which ones were actually functional. I like a lighter cup, but realized that is cools quicker! Anyway….much thanks for the encouragement as I head outside in a few minutes to play again in the studio!!

    @hobbypotter Okay! =] I will film myself glazing next time I glaze afterschool. After track today, I stayed after for a long time glazing (until 8:30!!) =]
    Oh thank you so much for the idea, I will definitely do some glazing videos. Some before and after videos/pictures will be so neat!!
    I have a lot on my plate right now but I am trying to still make time for pottery. Thanks for the encouragement, and keep up the wonderful work with your pottery =D
    Best wishes,

    @SavannahsCeramics Video tape the glazing please…30 pieces, you are a busy girl, now with track you're even more busy!!!! There are tons of videos on throwing, I'd sure LOVE to see you glazing (if you can of course :). I'm trying to learn to love glazing…would rather just throw or play with the clay, then come back to open up the glaze kiln when they're all finished…(if you know what I mean ;). Good luck in track and keep enjoying pottery…it can always be there when you get back to it!

    @hobbypotter Oh gosh, I am looking forward to making more! I love making them so much.
    I just started track on Monday, which is every day after school so I now don't have after school to work on pottery ;_;
    Plus I have a ton of glazing to do. Literally I have accumulated about 30 pieces I need to gaze.
    But thank you for still being interested.
    I watch all of your videos, and I just wanted to say keep up the good work Tammy! =]

    @baileyslip Oh no, that is a shame! I've had a few cups that I feel that way about. I'm thinking I need to make myself some 'magic water", I heard that it's better than just slip.

    @baileyslip Thanks so much!!! Please don't EVER apologize for giving me advice! When I was sitting there I was thinking…"Is there a better way to do this?" Your way makes so much more sense, it would have been easier to be sure all the pieces were connected securely (my biggest concern). So glad you are enjoying the videos and to be honest it's nice to know I'm not just talking to myself when I'm alone in the workshop..LOL 😉

    Looking at you making the handle for the 83 cup I would do the handle on the table, maybe bloweing it to dry it just enough so I could handle it, then attach it to the cup.sorry just what I was thinken lol as I was looken on lol.Now on to cup84 love you very much:::
