8oz Sierra Mist, one espresso shot (or double). Pour the Sierra Mist, leaving room in the top of the tall glass for the bomb to explode. Pull the espresso shot, drop into the glass, and slam it! The first slurp of the slam is a mix of hot-cold espresso/citrus, but as you drink it turns to sweet because the last of the glass is all Sierra Mist. Yum.
You can substitute another soda, but I prefer Sierra Mist because it’s sweet and clear (for effect). Try Mountain Dew, for example, for extra oomph. Also 7up or Sprite… but you could do Dr. Pepper or Coke, but you lose some of the cool factor because you can’t see the shot glass dropping in.
This is a rhistretto, about 1oz espresso (14g of Zephyr’s Brazil Moreninha Formosa), roasted 3 days ago in my bread maker with a heatgun. Nuova Simonelli Premier V espresso machine.
