Espresso Mug Cake

In this video, I go through the quick and easy steps of making a delicious espresso mug cake. This cake combines both instant coffee with chocolate to create a lovely rich cake.
If you’re looking for something nice and quick to snack on, then this recipe is absolutely delicious and only takes a couple of minutes.
It is important to remember that when following a recipe that uses a microwave, you may need to adjust your cooking setting. For example, in this video, I use the highest setting on a 1000W microwave. If you cook in a 750W microwave, then you may need to cook it for longer.
If you need to make more than one, then double the recipe and simply weigh the ingredients separately into each mug.
The ingredients that you will need for this espresso mug cake are listed below. You can also find the full recipe linked above.
3 Tbsp plain flour
1 Tbsp caster sugar
1 Tbsp cocoa powder
¼ tsp baking powder
1 tsp instant coffee powder
3 Tbsp Milk
1 Tbsp vegetable oil
Remember that in this recipe, I am using cocoa powder and not a chocolate mix. If you’re using a sweetened chocolate mix, then make sure you don’t put as much sugar is as it might become way too sweet.
Like most mug recipes, this recipe is pretty relaxed on exact measurements of ingredients. If you get something slightly wrong, it should still come out to be just fine.
