Get the old Gaggia Classic and a separate bean grinder. The sage is NOT built to last like the Old Gaggia.

Unsubbed. Snobbish from the off. Belittling Aldi and determined to undermine due to low price. Ref: climate change issue comments – if you look into the impact of the coffee industry on the environment this machine is a fart in a hurricane. https://www-ecowatch-com.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/www.ecowatch.com/amp/coffees-invisible-carbon-footprint-1882175408?amp_js_v=a3&amp_gsa=1&usqp=mq331AQFKAGwASA%3D#aoh=15884171228037&referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com&amp_tf=From%20%251%24s&ampshare=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ecowatch.com%2Fcoffees-invisible-carbon-footprint-1882175408.html

It's twice the price of my delonghi so I'd assume it could make a better coffee than pressing one button to get mine going

Why are you reviewing this ? Nobody who shops in Aldi would ever spend £300 on a coffee machine. And as you said a Bialetti coffee pot in my opinion is the only way I make my coffee . The Mukka Express pot is my favourite at the moment makes a perfect cappuccino every time ?????

Totally agree with wat you said at 11:30min. That counts for lots of products on the market, some brands just make bad products just to be cheap. It's a total waste of everyting, including money.

To be fair coffee machines are shockingly overpriced to the point baristas can’t even afford them.. the people spending all their time working on these machines can’t afford a good one for home use but that’s just my American take on that I don’t speak for others ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Looks rough, don't know why you'd bother! Even for a budget machine. I have one of the lowest end Breville models, (only lists for 230 cad/ 130 pound, frequently on sale so im sure I only payed 160 /92 pound) it's not perfect, but it can consistently make a great espresso. The difference here is that Breville actually makes espresso machines, they know what they're doing where as I'm sure aldi hasn't got a clue

It makes perfect coffee. What's stupid is trying to make coffee sitting beside the machine. Secondly he clearly didn't read the instructions. This video is misleading and a total load of rubbish.

Try the Aicook $50 espresso machine. The small and really cheap one. I honestly prefer my moka pot over messing with that thing. By the time I've brewed my coffee the steamer practically just dilutes the milk with hot water.

This is my attempt to do a short review this video as he reviewed the machine… with pretense!

“At this point, this snob just can’t understand how to read an instruction manual. He is just so obnoxious and stupid. He is a waste of internet. He hasn’t learned to just stand in front of a coffee machine to use like any normal human. I just hate this review and it really sucks. His commentary is really stupid, don’t listen to him anymore and unsubscribe.“

Oh sweetie. I have a 50€ espresso machine from Lidl, that’s even without a grinder. I buy the vacuum sealed, pre grind espresso and I make coffee that I love and that is much better than the coffee I’ve had in many coffee houses. Of course there’s a learning curve to what grinds work best and how long to let it heat and to what pressure … it has the simplest pressure meter in the front and still I managed to make something that I like and works for me in a price that I can afford. I don’t see why you have to be so condescending… different strokes for different folks. This video is pointless. My cheap ass machine won’t hold a candle to the multiple functions of a proper one, I know it, you know it, everyone knows it. And you are just rubbing it in our faces.

For anyone complaining that James is being pretentious, do you know how to use a real espresso machine? At my first barista job we had a FIVE MONTH training period before being bar certified. It's not like normal coffee where if you do it wrong it tastes kinda bad. If you get it wrong it can be straight up disgusting.
